The design intent for the coffee shop was to draw customers in and create a comfortable space for downtown Sacramento. The shape of the space created a challenge that involved organizing a space that prioritized a variety of seating and used the small amount of glazing advantageously. An accented wall was incorporated to add some fun texture and highlight the seating against the wall. The materials were selected to reflect the minimal natural lighting entering the space and create a brighter interior. Thus creating an environment that reflect its purpose, to make its customers feel awake and welcomed.
