Oishi meaning tasty in Japanese, is a ramen and sushi restaurant that was designed to demonstrate a traditional Japanese culture in a contemporary style. The layout of the restaurant is designed to suit multiple customers with diverse needs, that includes a sushi bar, wine bar, private dining, regular dining and patio seating. Throughout the space fun structural elements are placed to accentuate the bar, entrance and column. Curved elements are placed as an interactive component that guides customers through the space, such as the waterfall feature that flows into a koi pond through the flooring. The overall scheme was designed to be an interactive and bright space where customers would feel welcomed and entertained.
